Orange

There is no regular time for local social rides (though Thursday afternoons is common) but we mostly meet at the Kinross Forest main car park to ride the great trails  found there.

If you are keen on joining us or want to find someone to ride with then your best bet is to post to the forum here.   Note that not  all social rides are mentioned in the forum, but it’s a good place to get into the scene.

See the maps page for the location of Kinross Forest.

Kinross forest permit information

NSW Forestry has given us a permit for Kinross Forest which means those trails are now legalised. In order to ensure that we keep this permit there are a few rules that we need to abide by. The main rule’s are:

  • No importing of timber to build jumps, ramps etc.
  • No nailing of signs etc to trees.

We will be able to put trail makers in, so that we can make it easier for new people and visitors to find the trails. Lets all work together with forestry to keep the forest clean and safe. If you see some one building a jump the wrong way just explain to them why they can’t build it, if you see some one dumping rubbish get there vehicle registration number and report them, lets keep our forest and trails clean.

Dubbo/Guerie

There are weekly social rides on Sundays at Bald Hill Reserve in Guerie. Turn towards the hill (south) at the BP service station Geurie. Park at the end of Chambers Street and follow the arrows. See the maps page for details.

The white arrows mark the outer loop (~6km) and the yellow arrows mark the inner loop (~3.5km). The two loop join up and both tracks are super flowy, fast and fun – almost entirely single track.

If you like chasing gravity there are some unmarked trails you’ll need guidance to.

Parkes/Forbes

Although there are no formalised social rides in place in this area, riders are usually out in the Back Yamma State Forest on Saturday mornings.
